Young Entrepreneurs Academy Helps Students Turn Ideas into Meaningful Enterprises
Over the past four years, more than 100 students have participated in YEA! and 50 student enterprises have been launched at YEA! Four classes graduated at the University of Rochester, and students were able to attend YEA!’s second location at the State University of New York – Geneseo in the fall of 2007 with student scholarship support from WIRED. WIRED Biotechnology Program Gives Students Glimpse of High-Tech Future Careers Skills
Lauren Mullen, a senior at Byron-Bergen High School, plans to attend college after graduation to study veterinary science. This summer, she took the opportunity to participate in the WIRED Biotechnology Program at Genesee Community College, a course that allowed students to earn money while attending college credit courses for six weeks.
